Marco Van Basten is the greatest striker in the world during the lately 1980s. He was two foots grace with close control, quick on the turn and excellent in the air, He scored Spectacular goals for club and country. He was best remembered with his winning goal in European Championship 1988 final match against Soviet Union. He shot from a seemingly impossible angle. The shear audacity and technique of that strike showed his supreme class. Van Basten was very success in his career with AC Milan, and regarded as the greatest striker in history of Italian Series A. Despite average of score per game in the league was lower than any era due to appearances of many world-class defenders but he still scored 90 goals in 147 games. On the other hand, Van Basten failed to prove himself in World Cup tournament that he could not score even a goal. His states for Holland was also unimpressive as he did it just 0.4 goal per game in average. After he was gotten big injury at age of 29, He could not to play the game anymore and decided to retire in next two years. Van Basten was voted 8th, 9th and 12th the greatest footballer of the century by France Football, World Soccer and IFFHS, respectively, and was voted 4th by UEFA Jubilee poll.
