“Uns Uwe” Uwe Seeler is the most underrated strikers of all-time. He was a top west German striker for more than a decade. He was a technically gifted and effective goalscorer, working to score inside or outside the penalty area. He was also very creative, was renowed for his overhead-kick, once back-heading a goal in world cup game. In Bundesliga Game, He was rated by kicker in 7 seasons and also 7.5 seasons of international-class which is the second best rating in history of Bundesliga game only to Franz Beckenbauer. In spite of this point, He was never voted in top five Ballon d’Or in any year aside from 1960 due to unsuccessful of Hamburg club. Uwe Seeler was also a tremendously popular player due to his fairness, modesty, and kindness. The DFB (German FA) made him the second honorary captain of the German national team in 1972 (the first being Fritz Walter). In 2003 he became honorary citizen of his hometown Hamburg, the first time the honor was bestowed on a sportman.
