Facchetti is best remembered the greatest wing-back ever in history of the game. He would make marauding run upfield using his wonderful running, dribbling and crossing, even sometimes done well as left-winger to make scores. He could also play as center-back which his tackling was used great effect, possessed excellent stamina, great leadership and scored important goals. Facchetti is compared by some as “Beckenbauer in version of side-back” because of his leadership and technical ability. He was one of the Le Grande Inter which was notable with completely defensive game. He was also voted 5th Ballan D’or in 1968. Facchetti is the only player to be retired number for Inter Milan which he is club’s greatest player ever and played 634 official games with scoring 75 goals.
