“El Charro” Jose Manuel Moreno is one of the most underrated footballers of all-time. Despite he was regarded by Argentinean old-timers to be a better player than Alfredo Di Stefano and Di Stefano ever mentioned by himself that there are many greater footballers than him in Argentina during his era but they was not lucky like himself getting opportunity to play in Europe, A few football fan around the world have ever heard his name because he never participated in World Cup due to refusing to enter World Cup 1950 by Argentina football association. Moreno is the most outstanding player in the legendary famous team “ La Maquina”. He played as inside-right but sometimes played as attacking midfielder according to “Total Football” Style of play that La Maquina was the first team to play before Holland played this system during the 1970s. Moreno was a superb technical player. He was a world-class creator, passer and dribbler. He was selected among the 25 best players in the world in the 20th century by the IFFHS in 1999. He also ranked as the fifth best player in South America, and as the third best in Argentina, behind Diego Maradona and Alfredo Di Stéfano
